The mission of this site is to provide users with a whitewater journaling interface that can be
reached anywhere. I cannot remember the flows when I ran such and such creek 10 years ago. I also
struggle to keep a paper journal. I imagine I am not alone in this issue. This project is a labor of
love and will get improvements along the way so please do not hesitate to email me with
feature request or bug reports. Currently, the only rivers that are autocompleted and thus have
the functionality of importing flow are in the states of WA, OR, CA, ID, MT, CO, NC, WV and NY. I
will be adding these as needed and if adding a state needs to be done before you sign up please
email me, and I will get on it.
Current Features
- You can sign up and make 10 journal entries without paying a thing. If you like this
service you can pay $20 a year to help me host this. If you let your account lapse you
will still be able to log in a review your entries you just will not be able to make any
new entries.
- Dashboard of rivers run, monthly, yearly, and career stats.
- List view and map view of rivers run
- When making a journal entry the rivers from American Whitewater are autocompleted. If you need
to add a river not in AW that is fine as well. It will be there for the next time you add an
entry
- If that river has a USGS gauge associated with it on AW you can import the flow for your
specified date.
- Exporting to .xlsx (Currently done on admin side but could be moved to the user)
Possible Future Features
(if there is enough interest)
- "Favorites" river dashboard with current flows
- Autocomplete functionality for all 50 states(would you ever know if I left out Kansas)
- Mileage calculations
- Exportation to spreadsheet on user side
- Improved graphs
- ...
- ...
- Native apps for Android and iOS
